Health Please call or email KinderHaus after 7 a.m. if your child is sick and will not be able to attend. Let us know if it is something contagious so that other parents can be alerted. No child will be admitted who appears to be ill. A child who becomes ill will be isolated and the parents will be notified immediately. You should come for our child promptly. Due to licensing regulations we cannot provide sick care for children. No child can be admitted to KinderHaus for 24 hours after a fever, diarrhea or vomiting. Please do not bring your child if he/she has a fever. Please do not bring your child to school if he/she has shown symptoms of being ill or has been ill during the evening or early morning before school. Please remember that children are more comfortable at home when they are sick. KinderHaus cannot administer over-the-counter medication. KinderHaus can administer a prescription medication when the following is provided: 1. DC Medical Authorization Form is filled out by your child’s pediatrician 2. The prescription medication is in the original container 3. A utensil to administer the medication It is DC law that all children maintain a current Health Certificate. All children must have a yearly physical. When you go to the Doctor, please download a new DC Health Form each time you go. Physical examinations, immunizations and tests must be recorded on the DC Health Form. We can only accept “attachments” if the DC Health Form is signed by the Doctor in two places. All children must have a dental assessment within one month after their third birthday. |
