Medications:

Please make sure you give the teacher in charge your prescription medication. Indicate whether the medicine needs to be placed in the refrigerator until you pick it up. In order to administer any medication we will need the Medical Authorization Form completed. As of 2009, your child’s Doctor must sign the Medical Authorization Form. We regret that the District of Columbia prohibits schools from giving children over the counter medication i.e. aspirin, cough medicine, etc. Only prescription medicines may be given. The medicine must be in the original container clearly labeled with your child’s name, prescription name and doctor’s name and date. 

Please note that all prescription medications need to have the first three doses administered by a parent prior to returning to KinderHaus. 

Allergies:
On your child’s first day please bring in a typed sheet of foods your child cannot eat either for allergies, religious or lifestyle reasons. It is your responsibility to update your child’s teacher(s) and the office. Allergy information should be included on the Emergency Card.
