 Snow & IceKinderHaus follows the District of Columbia School System (DCPS) for all day closings for inclement weather. If DCPS schools open one hour late, KinderHaus will open at 8:00 a.m. If DCPS schools open two hours late, KinderHaus will open at 9:00 a.m. If DCPS close early, KinderHaus will close early. We do suggest calling the Center before you leave your house to make sure staff has arrived. It is important that you listen to the radio or call should you have any doubts. Once your child arrives at school and inclement weather conditions continue, KinderHaus may make the decision to close early. Parents will be notified via email and/or a phone call. Parents need to realize that it may be difficult for our staff to reach the Center on snow or icy days. Please check to be certain that sufficient staff have arrived before you leave your child at KinderHaus. Occasionally, staff members may only be able to accept limited numbers of children due to regulatory limits. Should this happen you may be asked to stay until additional staff arrive. There are no deductions in tuition for the days KinderHaus must close for inclement weather. |
